
Treasury Officer - Pride Microfinance Limited (MDI)
Job Description
The Treasury Officer will report to the Treasury Manager Forex and will be based at Head office. He/ she will be responsible for managing forex positions, mobilising forex clients (corporate/SMEs and Forex bureaus) and making short-term investment to maximize returns as per Pride’s policies.
Specific responsibilities include: -
- Maintain and update investment schedule
- Carry market research to determine forex market trends
- Monitoring cash and bank balances to ensure sound liquidity Management.
- Maintaining a portfolio of forex clients (Corporate, SMEs and Forex bureaus)
- Ensure compliance to cash management procedures.
- Prepare daily exchange position reports and returns to BOU
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly and monthly reports to all stakeholders to ensure compliance.
- Forward all deals made in day to Back office.
- Liaise with Branches and FX sales staff to ensure maximum business generation through timely and competitive pricing.
- Undertake foreign exchange trading for both wholesale and retail clients.
- On daily basis check all forex transactions done at both Head office and branches to ensure accurate reports and income recognition.
- Carry out any other duties in the Department.
Minimum academic qualifications, Experience & competence.
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Statistics, Economics and any other related field.
- At least two years’ experience in a financial institution within the treasury management
- Should possess 2 principal passes at A’ level and credits/pass in Mathematics and English at O’level.
- He/she should not be more than 40 years of age..
